It’s been hard the last few weeks following the news that a dear friend of ours had lost his battle with cancer. Sam Plank was everything local radio stood for and judging by the crowds that lined the streets to say goodbye, he got it spot on. Glyn worked as a Presenter with Sam in the good old days of Radio Stoke and I had the privilege of teaming up with him when I joined in the late 90’s. Never have I met a man who cared more passionately about the area and the people he served, he was their voice and more importantly their ear. He had a big heart, a wicked sense of humour and a wonderful ability for fun and he will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.
